Omega Seamaster v IWC Pilot Fliegerchronograph - Quartz
Discussion
Despite having mostly mechanical watches, I have found the need for a reliable (wound or not) grab quartz especially on trips.
To serve this purpose I currently have a nice black mid-size professional Seamaster Prof which is robust & serves the purpose admirably. I have been offered an IWC chronoquartz (quartz heart/ mechanical chrono), I believe the movement is one of the most accurate available & made by Jaeger Le Coultre 3741.
Does anyone have one of these and vouch for its comfort and durability? The Omega isn't a Chrono of course but they are both mid size with dependable quartz movement but the IWC is at least 10 years older although in excellent condition.
How long does a decent quartz movement last? It has been serviced but I guess this only means seals & battery? If favourable I may be putting my Omega onto the market in preference to the IWC
