Hi, guys another one....

I am looking at a diver style type watch new or very clean used, what would you guys recommend?
Rolex would be nice (80's child!) but pricey?? also Omega??
This has caught my eye..

I paid comfortably under your budget for my Planet Ocean. No regrets, gets worn all the time.

That Omega looks really nice and good value given its only 4 years old.

You might want to consider something like a breitling superocean:

https://www.blowers-jewellers.co.uk/store/breitlin...

or a Steelfish:

https://www.blowers-jewellers.co.uk/store/breitlin...

or a superocean heritage?

I have a superocean 42mm and love it, the heritage is 46mm and you can get the superocean in a 44mm as well.

Also saw these the other day, dont know much about them but they look very Rolex ish from bezel design and good value at £860 new.

Happy Shopping!

You should definitely go for a Breitling IMO. I have one and love it. (also have Rolex, Chopard, etc., but the Breitling is by far my favourite).

Ive a Breitling Aerospace , lovely light watch , my engagement watch infact.

Ive owned 2 Breitling Super 44's , i love the chunky looks and heft , but for some reason they dug into my wrist? Or made it ache , maybe just a tad too chunky.

Ive owned a Omega Seamaster black dial , beautiful , a planet ocean and a speedmaster moonwatch on a leather strap. All comfortable , beautifully made and could be attainable within your budget.

Breitling is very good at this pricepoint. The workmanship is on par with pieces costing thousands more.

As an alternative to the superocean chrono mentioned in the previous post, consider this version

Much classier IMO. Breitling has dabbled a bit in some poor design over the last decade, but they have many new and old pieces that are absolutely classic.

Ceramic omega seamaster, you'll get one new for 2-2100.

Not personally a fan of breitblings, but the quality is good.

Can't go wrong with a Seamaster chrono, if I could only keep one watch, it would be my Seamaster chrono (I think)
So versatile, can be casual or smart, durable, reliable... Great value.

How about a Girard Perregaux SeaHawk, if you can find one for sale? You won't see many others
