Are old Omega watches worth anything special?
Discussion
Found this at my parents, it doesn't look much to me but it is an Omega...

Short answer is yes- if looks as though it's gold (rolled or solid)and depending on age, condition and movement it could be worth £500+

Ah, my mum said it was probably my Grandad's and it does have a stainless steel back (looks quite out of place/too modern and only has the wording 'stainless steel' engraved on it. So is it worth much?
Does it matter what it's worth financially?Get it serviced, nice leather strap put on it and it's a stylish looking piece with family history.

Well tbh, its not really a sentimental part of his 'legacy'. I'd never seen it before and don't remember him having a watch tbh. its up to my mum really as she didn't know what to do with it.Get it serviced, nice leather strap put on it and it's a stylish looking piece with family history.

But only you know whether you'd wear it and what your Mum wants to do.
Yeah, some 1960s Omegas are worth £10,000+, but yours is probably a couple of hundred quid if you can find out some more about it and that will help you locate a buyer. You might want to take it to a jeweller and take the bracelet off as it's not original; put a good quality plain black leather strap on it, get the jeweller to take the back off it and take some photos of the watch movement, which will help in selling it. You might be able to get the serial number off the movement and some inscriptions on the inside of the case back, all of which will help with the provenance of the watch.
But put simple, yes it's worth money, but it's not going to buy you a new Lotus

A solid gold pie-pan dial Constellation is in a different league...
Aesthetically it isn't no. Monetarily possibly, but the OP's watch is nicer looking.I must admit I always find the dial a little fussy, personally.
