Just seen this listing for Watch on ebay 131884247326 I know what it is not but is it still worth a look,it's a nice watch but is it just a expense fake or a cheap one of a kind ? so here the listing,

This is a one of a kind watch that my friend and I built using a stunning, original Swiss IWC C972 manual wind watch movement. The IWC Portuguese style case (44mm), dial, hands and buckle were all made by myself specially for it, and the watch was assembled and tested in his workshop.

The watch runs beautifully, keeping good time when fully wound. The only one in the world.. A truly special watch.

You can see a video of it running here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsNepb2Scs8

This is just my 2p

Firstly uber respect for being able to make the hands and case etc! I know a lot of people frown upon re-casing watches, personally I think it's a great way to use old movements from watches that have been melted down, or from pocket watches that nobody wants anymore.

It might just be the pics but is the dial on square? It looks ever so slightly mis aligned. ( I have been in the pub most of the afternoon so it might well be me lol)

I don't like the IWC dial, as it does have a bit of "fake" to it, I know you are being up front with the fact the case etc is not IWC, but still.
In my opinion it would be way better if you came up with a micro brand name and dialled it as such.

I see your point if you put a name on a item it should the genuine item, this is the fake side of the watch even though the workings are IWC.I think the face square.

I rather like it but don't understand the 117/1000 inscribed on the case side. It can't be one of a run of 1000 surely?
