@Boshly - how's it holding up to regular wear? Mainly thinking about the gold clasp.
It's been pretty good. I've rotated it with one other and I'm not soppy about wearing it, in fact the reason I like the YM so much as opposed to many others is its rubber strap as I hate taking watches off to shower or swim. It's stood up pretty well. Better I would add than a white gold Girrard Perregaux that have that's pitted and lost some of its whiteness.

I like the rose gold and white gold daytonas, and that new one is stunning, but I just can't see the time without my glasses on a Daytona and that's why my SS black face is going to be moved on and why I bought the Everose YM and not a WG Daytona biggrin

For anyone interested, Rose Gold Omega Speedmaster:

10,995, seems good value considering list is close to 17k and watch is only a year old.

The everose gold yacht master is a delight but very expensive, the rubber strap/SS Rolex sports combo is very appealing though for about a 3rd of the price:

I rather fancy trying an everflex strap/bracelet on my Sub - where can they be bought from?

I know there are aftermarket copies - I assume anything genuine is going to cost an arm and leg

Rolex buy from Rubber B, apparently.

Yikes! - $250! That's a bit much for something that I just fancy trying out

Looks like I'll have to save up for the 116655 instead.....

I highly doubt Rolex does buy from RubberB – that wouldn’t stack up with their completely vertical integration status.

Nigel, don’t be such a tight git – you’ve a £5K watch (amongst others) and you’re complaining about what’s effectively a few week’s worth of pocket change?
Get it bought, and if it doesn’t work for you, you’ll be able to sell it without much bother.

Blowers does both the RubberB and Everest ones

You're trying to reason with a middle-aged Yorkshire man.

So did I, but there was a post somewhere with fairly conclusive evidence. I read it, probably couldn't find it, though it stuck in my mind!

Apparently the RubberB stuff has "carbon fibre" in their bracelets for added strength, whereas the OE Rolex uses a steel (or is it titanium?) band onto which the rubber is bonded

A middle age Yorkshire man whose wife still doesn't realise what the watch cost - if SWMBO found I'd spent £200+ on a bracelet, she'd no doubt twig the watch was more than the Chr.Ward we bought you

Anyway - quiet day at work?...... wink

My understanding as well, the latter part.

Don't forget 'Everest'. Many guys on the Rolex forums think they are comfier than Rubber B.

This prolly looks good in the flesh.

It really does, I saw one of these on display when I was in Tokyo and fell in love with it. It was around £30k IIRC. I do like the RG versions - the Seamaster posted earlier is stunning too.

Technically it's an alloy called Nitinol - bumpf-speak for Nickel Titanium - used for its 'memory' capabilities, and superelasticity.

Utilised in many aerospace applications, dontcha know.

All of the RG ones do look good, particularly on a strap. They also wear differently to the steel ones, which I never though looked quite looked right on my (6.5") wrist.
