Guy says he can get watch, seems improbable but not impossible. Abu Dhabi airport had two over the Deepsea JC edition's in last month and was selling at AED 41,420 which I nearly went for. Both sold within a matter of days.

Others who are trying very hard to get the same watch can't due to lack of supply in region and alleged dubious trading practices by ADs.

My thoughts = great if you can get one at a smidge over list price. Pics when you get it please?

It'd also be fantastic to know who your source is........

thanks for the comments. The reason I can get one is the same reason why the AP on my wrist has the royal crest on the back.

Have i got one yet? no. I haven't been back to Oman since March.

Can you get one in Oman if you are not a VIP? yes. if you know the right people.

2 Deepseas selling at list. Not as hard to come by as the Daytona right enough but still a watch you can make a couple of quid from if you wish to flip one at the moment.

Ahh I'm with you, I'm actually after a Daytona to keep, my son was born last month and I wanted a birth year Daytona for him with his name on the papers to inherit.

As for a Donald, posting pictures of boxes does not do anything. You claimed "you" - as in anyone, can go into a dealer and get a Ceramic Daytona at list with no waiting...you were fibbing.

£15k for a watch, wow. First world problems and that smile 10 Year waiting list sounds very much like another expression for dealer tax.

If you are in the process of getting divorced (and I was sorry to read that, but life is short eh) Remember you'll need to list stuff like this on your assets form (the form which is simply called a letter of the alphabet the exact one escapes me)

Might be worth delaying the purchase ....

the form is Form E and yes if he is getting divorced then he is probably better delaying such a purchase. On Form E, you have to list all your assets including watches, jewellery, cars etc. They are then used to calculate total assets and the starting point for any financial settlement starts at equal split but in the UK more often than not ends up with the man ends up with much less than 50%.

I've not been down that route, but surely it'll go on the form either as a watch or as cash? At least with a watch you could potentially factor in some 'depreciation'?!

I'm flying back from Dubai on Sunday, so time will tell but I very much doubt they'll have anything from the "desirable" range ;-)

SONOFAbh! hehe
If I might enquire, did he just walk in and procure one or was he on the list? (that I don't believe exists).
