Has anybody purchased a Seiko Diver PADI watch ?

How do you find it ?

Are there any offers to be had when purchasing in the UK ?

I have an SKX007 anyway but do like to the look of the PADI watch to add to the collection of Tudor, Rolex, Heuer, Omega.

Funny, i was at a festival at the weekend and Mrs Crash suggested i wear an old watch and dug my old SKX009 from the bottom of a wardrobe. I probably haven't worn it for 10years... but started off the bat and was good as gold all weekend. Someone even asked me whilst i was at a bar if it was a fake, which somewhat confused me - as he knew it was just a Seiko. Anywho... mine looks like this and for a cheap watch bought prob 13 or so years ago, it's great.

Yes. See the wrist check thread from a few days ago.

No deals as such, but Jura are selling them.

I've dived with a skx007 which leaked at 30m. Crown was correctly closed and watch treated with care. Not impressed.

Conversely I've had mine at 40m + with no issues at all...

Thanks for the comments.

Yes, seen that Jura watches are selling them. I did notice yesterday that a local shop in Cheltenham was selling one, might see if they will do a little discount for cash, although can't imagine much movement on a £350 watch. Always like to feel as though getting a deal though !

Deacons in Swindon have one. They will usually do a deal. Telephone and ask to speak to Huw.

Ooo, I really like the look of that.

Anyone know of any places in London with it in stock to check out

Fine watch, but this thread is about the Prospex PADI

I wanted one, badly, I can afford it, but I won't be able to wear it enough to keep it wound, and I need my watches -/+ 15s a month, not a day, so no autos for me frown

I've got one - have had both the blue and black standard versions but moved them both on.

Not a big fan of the bracelet (the diver extension digs into the inside of my wrist), so have it on a perfectly coloured vintage tropic.

I doubt you'll find any about now, either through domestic or international sellers.

Thanks for the replies.

Were numbers limited then, given that everywhere has sold out. I need to pop over the Cheltenham to see if the one I saw is still available.

I love the looks of Turtle reissue but can't get over the fact that they used an average movement in this piece and it's a touch less well made than the Sumo. Yet it costs roughly the same.
