I'm not looking to sell it, but out of interest, do these things have any value? The cracked face stays!

I think they go for up to £800ish (that's the upper limit I've seen).

Interesting, thanks - just took a look. This example seems broadly equivalent. I suppose mine is unusual in that it wasn't issued for use in an aircrew role, as were the vast majority, but in a Forward Air Control one. That one looks in far better order than mine though..!

I was injured and spent quite a while in rehab. I was put on gardening leave following my med board and dropped off the radar. When I was formally discharged, twelve months later, it wasn't important - I pitched up and cleared a day after my actual discharge date so there was not a lot that could be done anyway. I kept everything, they couldn't be bothered to administrate me in any other way.
