Hi Guys
I've just bought a second hand Rolex for my wife, private sale
Comes with box, papers and original receipt
Originally bought March 2004.
Its stainless steel ,jubilee bracelet and silver face with date. Model 79240
Got it for £1475
Do you think i got a good deal?
Dealers seem to be charging £2500 plus for the same thing

I hope its lovely OP!

I was embarrassingly ripped off by a bloke who sold under the guise of a broker in Tamworth, paid £3k, all looked genuine, and it packed up.

Quote from Rolex to return it to a watch they would class as genuine was £2700....i was gutted, as is the wife (still)

Make sure you have certificates of authenticity and ideally someone look inside it, the cheaper ones are invariably full of aftermarket bits.

Fingers crossed for you, they are a lovely gift and timeless (no pun intended lol)

Super price if it's authentic.

Always 'buy' the seller.

That is a very good "future-proof" price. Congrats.
