I have a 16600 Sea Dweller and funnily enough the next watch on my list is a Speedmaster Pro/Reduced! Need to try them both on as anything over 40mm looks lost on baby wrists.
I love my Speedmaster was my first proper watch purchase, really love it and will never get rid. Chuffed that I get to choose between two great bits of kit now. I've been wearing my Speedmaster virtually non stop this last year ish as my daily wearer was my old Tag F1 but it's needed a battery for ages now and I've not got round to it but need to as it comes in handy for the more 'dirty' days when I wouldn't want to risk the other JEA1K said:
Congratulations! Love mine and hardly had it off my wrist for 18 months ... a few battlescars but will scrub up like new
My Speedmaster will be coming up soon due a little polish and service. Might give it a little clean myself, just a gentle brush in soapy water order of the day for that isn't it ?!JEA1K said:

. Not a Sea Dweller , but the principle is the same .
15 years old , never been serviced, wash it in the shower with shaving foam , if it's really minging it gets scrubbed with a nail brush as well.
Just wear the damn things and stop mollycoddling them.
Hardly anything to write home about really is it, the way you were taking and that 'most get sold on after 6 months' sounded like you were talking about the deep sea which is a beast.
Honestly not interested in a tit for tat it's absolutely nothing at all. My Speedmaster below currently on my wrist sticks out more than that and is domed and it's almost to the edge plus it has the outer ring below he glass and not marked or caught it in 5-6 years yet.

I`m not getting lairy either but can the amount that the SD glass stands proud really be a hindrance to some people? When wearing an SD do they really miss the extra clearance that a Sub gives? THE SD is a great looking thing, I just don't get it after trying it on, it's top heavy and over a Sub too thick imo.
So it makes you wonder why choose one at £2k over a Sub ? as it's not due to the depth rating lol
seems an odd market that's all and hence not one of Rolex bigger sellers.
