Couple of decent looking Panerai style watches at Aldi from 6th November, automatic too.

Quite nice looking those, is that a proper dead cow strap, perhaps put a NATO strap on?

Neither are Panerai style, both do look like B&R watches, their signature square case design and the round one from their 'vintage' range

First one looks like a great holiday beater for the price!

"High quality automatic movement"

Let me guess. Is it out of a Rolex? No? ETA? No? Cheap chinese movement that'll break the first time you drop it onto your bed? Yes.

Looks nice but seems expensive for a generic watch no?

Anyone gonna buy one to pop open, see what movements in it? Id imagine cheap Chinese. But maybe 7S26 or family.

ETA - Just seen it says see through back.

At best, something used in an Alpha. 7S26 is Japanese. I know we all look the same but still... biggrin

Oh, I'm not criticising a £30 automatic watch. I'm criticising the marketing literature.

I did, I got the brown round version one this morning to use on holiday in a couple of weeks. The square one is fair a bit bigger and I have smallish wrists so the round one suits me better. It has a screw in crown and feels quite solid and although the strap is marked 'genuine leather' the outer layer looks rather plasticky....

Can we get a picture of the back window?

Wish they had the B&R strap screws, buying one just for those bits would be cheaper than I'm currently looking at to replace my missing one. scratchchin

No Seiko 5 then (understandable given the price), looks similar to the sub £20 chinese autos I've got.
