Which watch keeps tempting you?

I've really got my heart set on a Seiko Alpinist which is big budget for me. I love the almost Britsh Racing Green face.
Any opinions from those in the Know? Is it junk masquerading as a nice watch or is it actually reasonable for the outlay.
Its not big money at below £500 but if i'm spending the money it would be nice to know its not utter garbage.
It's a fantastic watch, but they used to be a lot cheaper before Seiko discontinued it.Any opinions from those in the Know? Is it junk masquerading as a nice watch or is it actually reasonable for the outlay.

The updated version is pretty cool too although much bigger and a bit more ruggedly styled.

Hmmm, going up in value. An investment maybe lol not likely.
Not keen on the updated version. Too 'trendy'.

I'm very much a watch newbie. Appreciating the good stuff but in reality on a low budget.
Currently i only have a vintage 1960 Tudor which is a family keep sake. A Camden Watch Co no.88 KPP and a Citizen Promaster Diver as daily's.

You’ve absolutely nothing to worry about by going for it – the equivalent Swiss version, if there was/is one, would be significantly more.Currently i only have a vintage 1960 Tudor which is a family keep sake. A Camden Watch Co no.88 KPP and a Citizen Promaster Diver as daily's.

Ooof, very nice. A friend has one, I've been tempted more than once to mug him for it!Edit: apologies to steel Rolex owners and gold daytona's, everyone's choice is entirely their own and is influenced by so many things that a rational judgement is impossible. Steel Rolex's are very nice, but just not my thing.

I keep being tempted by this
and I am also quite keen on adding a H.Moser to my collection
Save yourself a few bob and go for the steel Pioneer – https://www.chrono24.co.uk/hmosercie/pioneer-centr...and I am also quite keen on adding a H.Moser to my collection
And I’ll throw this in to possibly put the cat amongst the pigeons!

I’ve my sights set on a Ulysse Nardin Marine Chronometer. I’m through Heathrow most weeks and pop into WoS in order to reaffirm my desire all the time! A few house things to sort out before going for it and I’ve promised myself that I’ll actually wear this one rather than just keeping it for special occasions!

IWC Aquatimer Chrono.
Been kicking myself for not buying one almost 10 years ago now when I saw a new one up for $4,500 in Dubai airport.

Often and for a long time been tempted by one but I just don't think I'd wear it enough to justify it and I really can't be arsed winding a watch up every day.
exactly my thoughts. I'm on the never never waiting list for an Ultraman but the manual wind does put me off buying a Speedy although I'd like to add one to the collection.bonerp said:

To be honest, a manual wind on a non-date watch is not an issue. If you wear one every day, then the winding is forgotten once part of the morning ritual. There's actually some pleasure knowing you have to attend the watch to keep it running. (Tamagotchi anyone?)
If you wear occasionally, then it takes a few extra moments to set the (twelve hour) time.
Personally, I like manual wind movements as I get range anxiety with automatic having I've no idea how wound it is (and I've no watch with a reserve complication).
