I like this, but ordinarily prefer a less complicated face.
I saw an IWC on an airport advertising hoarding that I really liked but was in too much of a rush to check it out.
This thread might have prompted some wine-fuelled browsing. This could be an expensive Christmas, and the kids may yet go without school shoes!
I have the black-faced version of this watch. My colleague has the white-faced version with the gold hands. The blue version is very nice too - Shame I couldn't justify the gold-cased versions!I saw an IWC on an airport advertising hoarding that I really liked but was in too much of a rush to check it out.

I'm currently torn on my Christmas present to myself over these 3.....
I think the AP is winning my affection so far.....
Daytona for me Bertie - I desperately want one, it's beautiful on too.I think the AP is winning my affection so far.....
But I've a Bi-Metal GMT-II, SS Ceramic Daytona & Hulk Submariner that between them cost not much more and I like the variety.
I'll just leave this here...

I'd agree, but not over either the 15202 or 15300. Totally blew a chance at a mint 15300 only a year or so ago. Guy wouldn't budge from £7.5k to the £7k I wanted to pay. Be lucky to find one at 10 now. ………………..

What do they look like then?http://www.fratellowatches.com/ap-royal-oak-15300-...
The debate on 'which one' is fairly longstanding. Bit like 'which GT3' or 'date or non-date sub'.
There are now reissues of the '02 but for me the one to look for is a mint/unworn/NOS 15202 original in stainless steel.
It's one of those select few modern watches which can be chopped in for money back - maybe even profit too - for that rare buyer who doesn't bond with it.
As you can see from the article the market value of both of these has considerably risen (doubled?) since the article was written.
