Looking at buying a new ladies Rolex for my better half. She is still to decide which model. What kind of discount should I be looking for?

Probably a SS model not to much bling. Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

Other than the usual recommendation of trying Dom Hackett, it depends what she likes. Dominic got us one of these a couple of years ago, with a bit more than 10% off the UK RRP, for example:

I like to see women in men's Rolexes more than I do women's. But that's a look they've got to choose themselves really.

Bought the wife grape dial rolex oyster, 34mm, it's perfect. The dial changes based on the light. Bought it duty free so no "additional discount" negotiable, but I saved a few hundred regardless

That's the one. Perfect!

Pictures don't really do justice to how good the dial looks in real life. Plus this is the perfect "everyday" watch - it won't look "too much:" at work or whatever

I wouldn't dream of choosing a watch for her. SS was the way forward yesterday today's it's bi metal. Just trying to get some ideas for her. What are your thoughts on buying new discontinued ladies watches.?

Are they better value? I guess it's just buy what you like.

Steer her away from bi metal if you're ever going to resell it. They don't offend me, but they don't sell well. Also stainless is more versatile, more understated and doesn't look like you couldn't quite afford a gold one.

Let your partner choose, but honestly, don't rule out the men's 40mm watches. They hold value better plus a lady can still pull them off. My partner wears a 41mm Seiko automatic and she's only 5'5 tall (and slim).

Some lovely examples there. What is the best size for a lady with dainty hands? I did see a SS and Rose Gold DJ with a brown face and Diamonds but no price.I think she would like it but only if no older than 1 year. She bought me an SS DJ so now I have to return the favour

Going to the local AD on sat. Let's see what she likes when we get there. I also think I will put my names down for a SS Daytona. Any ideas on how much a Rolex service costs and how long I could be without a watch?

I quite fancied this for my wife:

But she wanted something smaller.

I think it's a bit different, but still fairly subtle!

does it have to be a "lady sized" watch?
