Lovely, isn't it?

I'm thinking of one of the last of these though, 'new' old stock:

Errrr, yeah it is, I'm not sure how much they are trying to wind people up with the red writing and limited numbers but it also has red numerals on the date wheel and the markers are darker than the regular one (which look nicer)

I do fancy the Black Bay Black with ETA movement but I have to stop with watches now!

And a left crown would drive me mental as I'm one of "those"

Just realised that I posted a pic of the new version, my local AD has the ETA movement version of the red bezel for £2,400

It's not limited numbers is it, just numbered?

You're quite right!

What is the point of numbering if something isn't Ltd?

Surely it's only the same as having a visible serial number?

What am I missing?

Look at the size of the text, though. How will they fit more than 3 characters without reducing font size? I reckon this will be Ltd.

£2,400 for a new ETA red bezel version on a strap? Wow, they're going up in price already! I managed a discount on my black bezel Black Bay on bracelet in May. Surely you can find a new red ETA on a strap for ~£2000, even from an AD?

Edit: maybe they aren't available at that price now - even Iconic has the red ETA on a strap at £2,310. Did Tudor get a price bump at the same time as Rolex?

Should have said, this is out of UK but with 25% VAT meaning a 20% discount on that £2,400! SO, effectively £1920...

More good news! wink

What about that PVD 'Dark' BlackBay, are they popular. I see a new one, but it's a bit more cash and on a bracelet...

I wanted a Pelagos Black badly, ended up with a Sea Dweller 16600... Still want the Tudor, my main annoyance with the Sea Dweller is being young (23) i tend to get the "is it real" comment rolleyes . Even when i bought the bloody thing they asked for ID to check i was genuine laugh.

I really like the black bay, but i have 2 issues. No date and i dont like the gold accents on the dial. I have found a homage style watch with a white accent dial and a date. There is a solution in the dodgy "homage" world but its not going to match the quality of the Tudor.

I managed to get 25% of my inhouse version from Goldsmiths with the use of a discount card from my work. It made it sub £1900 on a bracelet which surely is a bargain for such a nice watch with a inhouse.

Agreed, at around £3k for a 42mm ceramic cased chronograph, what's not to like! Although I don't know how good the 7753 ETA movement is.

I like both brands.

I've had my Pelagos for a while & wear it quite a bit.

I also had these, which I regret selling now

The newish models don't hold their value like Rolex, but vintage prices are on the up.

Its based on the 7750, so will work brilliantly for years and years and years. It may not be pretty but it's bloody good. My old Seamaster Chrono has the Cal 1164, a modified 7750, it is 18 years old has never been serviced and is still within COSC limits (only just lol)

Just out of interst why would you question how good an ETA movement is?
