At this point in time the DeepSea Sea Dweller, is grabbing my attention, would it drop much in value once bought?
Not a vast amount no. If you can stomach the horrid blue fade dial on the D-blue then values perform well. I think it looks chav though, and for that money I chose the black face as it's a bit more reserved.
In your opinion...

Yes some posters from General gassing seem to have found the watch sub forum, I guess you're looking as well, what watches that you've seen take your fancy?

As well as the ceramic/sedna PO I suggested earlier on, I'd also be tempted by a Franck Muller as well.

Not everyone's taste but I really the like the look of them.

Not really my cup of, watches that have caught my eye are the IWC Portuguese, DSSD, Daytona but too small, or the Superocean Heritage Chronograph 46 Steel

The IWC yacht master ocean racer is gorgeous and a robust 45.4mm:

i'd prefer to not do it at all actually, and it certainly isn't a dilemma for me.

i'm not usually a fan of panerai, but i like this

Panerai Luminor 1950 Regatta 3 Days Chrono Flyback Automatic Titanio

2016 air king, supposedly inspired by the analogue speedo rolex insisted upon designing for bloodhound SSC, according to richard noble

I've looked at that (I have a 305) and it wears stupidly big without a bezel....Pricey too

I believe this is a plea for suggestions, At first I also thought this was a what watch for 10k but maybe not,

It's a whole different payscale to me but as I could only budget 2k for my 50th and bought a U-Boat my suggestion on page 1 still stands eek

reason for asking is that it's a bit weird to be asked what i would buy with my own money and then to be told i'm wrong!!

there are plenty of other watches i'd consider buying in that range to be honest, but not sure i'd get away with buying another just at the minute. SDDS (black dial) is fine for me for now!

2016 airking is a lot of watch for the money. As is the 2016 39mm explorer. Both reasonably easily available as well

Both sub 5k

Be quick though!

For me a Daytona , you can just about slip a Audemars in under ten thousand aswell.
A chum has 2 good red Subs. He offered me one for well under the OP's budget so I guess they're not silly money yet.

I think the Double Red SD prices are up a bit though. There was one on TZ-UK for £15, but the consensus was that was a little lower than MV.
