Anyone know what's happened to PH member "Variomatic"?

I was just wondering if anyone knows where Variomatic (Joe) has been lately?

I sent two watches to him a while ago to look at, and have heard nothing since. I also see he's not been on the forums for a long time?

He opened a shop a few months back, so that may be taking up his forum time. Best give him a call.

Was it a shop selling watches by any chance?

Joe has been very busy and has had a few personal trouble this year...He has one of my watches that he is looking at....having trouble finding spares though......He usually responds to a phone call...although emails tend to go un-answered........

Thanks. Yes I did wonder if there had been some underlying reason, as he seemed to have dropped from the radar...

He rang me today with an update on my watch. Said he had some family issues going on I think, but still very much in business.
