Lovely pic. That makes we want to get a Pepsi bezel for my black bezel 16700
Thanks. To be honest - I've only ever had eyes for the Pepsi on the GMT.

Apologies for the poor quality camera phone picture.

My first wrist check contribution. Clearing out my late mother's house this weekend, (she died peacefully in her sleep recently, aged 83), I found my late father's watch. He died 35 years ago (in his early 50s) and I'd wondered what had happened to his watch.

It's an Avia 17 jewels incabloc. The back is marked with stainless steel back, anti magnetic, waterproof.

Clearly not a valuable watch, but it has a great deal of sentimental value to me and it's nice to see it on a wrist again, although it's strange seeing on on a wrist attached to a hand which isn't holding a cigarette!

I like the patina as it reminds me of this previous life. Just needs a decent strap, and probably a service!

Just received my old Pilot Chrono back from being serviced, 7 years old and had quite a few dings and dents plus accumulated filth. Has come back as new, well chuffed.

Congrats, I thought you were going to say your fiancé was letting you wear her jewellery again wink
Ha, not this time! Big fan of the Daytona though, really hoping to add the new ceramic YG Daytona on rubber later this year.

Can't go wrong with a WG Daytona, and with the prices of some of these less than or the same as a steel it seem to make even more sense! Looks great, although I'm not sure about the gemstones personally. I love the lustre of WG, and the weight of the metal. Did you get yours from Watchfinder? I see they've had a couple just like yours come and go recently.

Picked this up today. Wanted something a little bit different from my Sub. The colours are great and change from various angles and different light.

Yes I really like all the WG Daytonas especially on leather as I dont really suit full metal bracelets, leather also has the benefit of being a bit different and standing out from SS models. I'm obviously a big fan of the diamond markers - and even better that they aren't for everyone as makes it rarer which can be tricky with Rolex! The whole thing catches the light very beautifully but still less flashy than a YG model. Very pleased with it and hope to keep it a while.

Correct, I did get it from watchfinder, unworn since a recent service by Rolex with brand new strap and bezel for £14k, bargain I think - less than they ask for a stainless steel Daytona C rolleyes

Who did you use? I have a 3717 that is extremely mangled. Even the dings have dings!

It would be nice to think it could be re-finished without destroying the case profiles.

Quite enjoying this at the moment.
"Interesting" history and I have the wrong sized Perlon, but I think it looks great.
