Christopher Ward C60 Trident 300

Just a quick one. Considering buying a Christopher Ward C60 Trident 300. https://www.christopherward.co.uk/events/30-off/c6...
Really like the look of it, however know nothing about Christopher Ward. This is my max budget for a watch right now (I know this is tiny compared to many on here).
Is there any reason i shouldn't buy one? And are there any current owners on here if so what do you think of it?
Regards
Mike

Not a bad watch at that price point so if you like it then why not? I'd be remiss if I didn't do the obligatory nudge to a "Steinhart" alternative. They do some really high quality diver watches if you like that style and with automatic movements rather than quartz. https://www.steinhartwatches.de/en/diver-watch.htm...
I've been wearing an OVM as a daily for some time now I've had a lot of positive comments from people wearing a lot more expensive wrist jewellery.

I'm biased - as I have a few CWs and I reckon the sale CW Trident is stunning value. I have two of the new cased Tridents and they are a good step up from the first models. I like the fact that the CW Trident is not attempting to be mistaken for some other make.
In any case it comes with their 60/60 warranty, so if you don't like it, just send it back for a full refund inc postage.
The one you link to has a nice quality bracelet with a micro adjust ratchet as well.
It is a run-out of their old logo, so there are a finite number available.

I ordered a C60 300 overy xmas and I have to say I am a little disappointed by the bracelet, it's the only part of it that feels a little cheap. Other than that I really can't fault it. Having said that the bracelet issue is only really noticeable if I swap from my Planet Ocean (which has quiet a weighty bracelet imo)
I looked at Steinhart but they are too much in the homage business for my personal taste. I like the little individual touches of the CW range.
I also ordered a C3 Malvern mk2 and it is a lovley dress watch. I actually like it more than the C60

I've bought both of my sons a CW C60 Trident Pro 600 each - they are both extremely pleased with their first "proper" watch. Youngest has a red-bezel black face 38mm as he has slim wrists. My eldest has the back-bezel white face in 43mm.
I would prefer to have got away with the 300, but the date window in the 4 o'clock position offends my OCD....
Regardless, Chris Ward represents great value for money for a decent movement in a decent case. When you start to compare CW with some other makes that use the same movements, they are brilliant value.
If I had to sell my Sub, I would almost certainly replace it with a CW

Quick update. So i bought the watch in the link (C60 Trident 300).
I am genuinely blown away by the quality of this watch. For the price it really is a bargin. It looks and feels like it should be worth alot more.
Very happy with it and i would certainly reccomend to anyone.
Thanks all with your advice.

I have had a Trident Pro 600 for around 18 months, and I have been seriously impressed with it. I have had 25-30 fairly high-end watches over the years, as I did a bit of buying and selling for several years as a small hobby. I can honestly say I consider my CW to be at least a match for any of the watches I had from Breitling, Tag, Omega and even Rolex. I do think there is a considerable amount of piss-taking that goes on in the Swiss watch industry. My Ward cost about the same as I have previously paid for a service in some cases for some of my previous watches. I just got fed up, and decided enough was enough. I sold my last Rolex, a SS 16610 Datejust, in 2012 and paid for a BMW E46 330CI in full with the proceeds! I then expected that when I got it, the Ward would in some way be a big compromise, but it just isn’t.
The only thing I can understand people objecting to is that a couple of times each year they have sales and promotions that must annoy people who have paid full price, and could also be seen as rather gimmicky. Anyway, obligatory wrist-shot below…..
