What colour did you go for, I toyed with the idea of rose gold but went for the all black in the end.
I signed up on day 1 too (thanks to Ev posting a picture on here beforehand) - they're nice looking. I know the movement is nothing special but I'm willing to take a punt. Think I went rose gold in the end though I flip-flopped between the colours before filling in the form. The fairly even split does indicate people like all the colours.
How much is an ETA 2824 movement? £30 or so? You can level the same criticism at any watch really so the cheap movement doesn't worry me. I look forward to seeing what it'll be like in the flesh. I'm not expecting that it'll seem good value if you paid RRP though.

Less, but ETA/Swatch do have a tendency to act rather funny when it comes to supplying movements. To be honest, for the price, it's a shame they didn't use a Miyota automatic movement. However that said, there are certainly more expensive quartz watches out there. Just look at the Omega and TAG quartz models!NeMiSiS said:

I've been paying euro375-400 for ETA 7750's up until August of 2016, now I can't buy 1.
Miyota quarts movements are built into many cases then branded by anyone, they are quality, reliable, easy to obtain, cheap movements. If I was to take the watch you chose to its singular build components including the branded/logoed crown, and 'racing real leather strap', you would be amazed at the profit margin for a 1000 piece box drop.(including the 20 minutes labour and packaging that goes with it.)
But I wouldn't itemise the build price as that is unfair, it is what it is, and it ain't what it ain't, if someone is willing to buy, then someone is willing to make a profit, everyone is happy......
Certainly works for practically every other watch maker on the planet, so I wouldn't single out the Kickstarter brands for doing what most do.Whoever you are.

At the exchange rate on the day my payment was taken, including U.K. delivery, it came to almost exactly £199. For a watch I haven't yet seen, and which I didn't know would come with sapphire crystal when I backed it. I don't think it's amazing value; I got my Seiko Alpinist for £210. But it's little enough money to have had some fun.

I've got 5 watches from 'scamstarter'. I'm really pleased with them all. In fact I'm so pleased with a recent one I'm buying the guy behind it a beer in Singapore in a couple of weeks time. He's going to bring along a prototype to show me and also let me have a spare strap he has left over from the original project.
Not quite sure how I'm being scammed - since all the watches are in my possession.
Is the guy I mention above playing a long game and was hoping I'd be in Singapore at some point this year and he's going to try and get my bank details? Fair play to him if he is as he's been organising this complex scam since March last year.
Do you know what the word 'scam' means? Maybe you have it confused with something else?
I wasn't specifically talking about this projects and I'm glad a number of watch projects have delivered for you. I backed znaps which has not delivered and there have been a number of blatant scams on kickstarter that I won't touch the platform until some protection for backers is put in place
