That's stunning - congratulations.... it's also an heirloom, my son will have mine eventually.

Did it not come in a wooden box?

I wear mine 24/7 and it's not missed a beat - although I don't take it on holiday.

Do you know, I've never seen anyone else with a Marine - or indeed with a Breguet. Despite dozens of meetings in London and a zillion watches, I never see a Breguet.

Hi
Thanks for the nice comments, yes came in a nice wooden Breguet box with loads of paperwork.I have also found the form to send to Breguet to have you name registered in their owners book.

The first picture shows the watch in a Rapport watch winder I have just purchased.

I believe they just require a service every 3 to 4 years according to the manual.

A beautiful watch, I would have had no hesitation buying that over the Aquanaut.
(However, my moderately priced Christmas crackers are not in the same league as Patek owners'.)

Hi John,

Do you mind me asking how much you paid for this? Please can you DM me if you would prefer?

Thanks!

I don't think I've ever seen anybody else wearing one either. Although I have had a few people comment on mine, whereas they don't even notice (or don't comment on) my Daytona.

Can go 5+.

Despite being a Marine, I don't swim or shower with it, I also don't take it on holiday with me. The reason being that I have this peculiar theory that gold watches with gold workings probably shouldn't get hot (gold being a brilliant conductor of heat). It's my theory. Such as it is. And mine alone. Ahem! smile

Mine keeps superb time and the last service cost £800. Ouch! And it took forever. But that's the same with any of the top makes....

I reckon you will be very happily married to your Breguet for many years to come. Super watch, top quality. smile

PS - not sure if you ever remember the story (I posted it on PH many years ago), but I fell out of my boat at high speed a few years ago and lost my Breguet Marine in the Solent. It's still down there somewhere. So mine (pictured above) is a replacement.

Sorry for a moderately old bump - just going through some old posts (yes, I'm THAT bored) and wondered how you were getting on with the Breguet?
