Calibre de Cartier

Hi All,

My wife has her heart set on the above watch in 38mm form.
We have seen one in a U.K. dealer for what appears to be nearly £1k off list.

We are off to New York in a couple of weeks for her birthday, so there is the option of getting one out there.

Any advice on my best bet for a good price? Do dealers typically discount Cartier?
I know the exchange rate is not ideal at the moment, but a quick search on the internet seems to show advertised prices in the States ffor lower than the UK discounted price.

Any wisdom gratefully received.

Do the prices include NY sales tax.
Would have thought uk grey market or pre owned would still be cheaper or even buy at airport on way out?

You need to add NY sales tax and UK import duty at 20%, because we absolutely do not condone posting the box & paperwork home and smuggling the watch through customs on your wife's ankle.

Try haggling in the diamond district.

The 38mm one on the leather strap.

It's just the regular one, not the chronograph or diver.
