Picked mine up earlier today.
Comparision with other Seawdwellers and sub.

Wristshot

Suffice to say if the SD4K fits you OK then the SD43 probably will - the SD43 does not wear as big as the Deepsea.

I think there is very little difference in wear size and feel to the SD4000. The SD43 is slightly bigger lug to lug size but is the same thickness at 15mm.
I like the watch as the red writing lifts the dial. and the new wider bracelet balances the watch. I can see however that if you have slender wrists then the SD43 might not suit.

So, I bought a SD43 today too. I take back some of what I said in that it suits my wrist perfectly with no overhang. It's heavier than my SD4k, obviously larger and deffo heavier. It is way better balanced than the DSSD I sold a few years agio. I suggest that it's a keeper too, not least as even the AD I used thinks it will be a limited issue like the 50th Sub - before they remove the red writing.

I'm going to bookmark your post to show friends who think I have an obsession with steel watches and black bezels

Enjoying all the pics, still waiting for mine.

My AD said that they didn't know when they were getting their first one in and wasn't aware of the 1st May release date...

I was told at the Rolex dinner last night they wont be being released properly untill September? That was from someone high up. And talking to a lot of the AD,s there, they were saying thay have already got fairly big lists. On another note i tried on the new steel Skydweller and it looks very nice. I have got one on order and with a bit of luck should get it September.

Here's a youtube video with both SD50 and SDDS, side by side. To me the SD50 visually looks bigger.

Bit spooky now hose, I have the SS SD on order with the black face. No date for that yet though. Originally liked it in rose with choc face, but going to try the SS one for a while before I commit.
