Yes, I'd agree on this too. I tried one on (Ceramic, current model) at the Rolex store in Geneva airport last week.. really liked it. Is 5,500GBP a good price.. that's what they were offering it for (a massive 27GBP discount for me apparently!)?
I think that's list price for the Ceramic no date? If it's a date Sub then that's a really decent price.

Thanks. It was a no date so the price seems par for the course.

My non date 4 line sub is my every day watch. Rattly bracelet and all.

Often wondered about a retro fit new style bracelet as resale value is a non issue and I cycle a lot so the rattle is constant smile

I'd be looking at one of these instead of a bracket in those circumstances but it's not to everyone's taste, or maybe even a Nato. rotate

I have to agree.

The new-style, solid bracelets with the terrific glidelock clasp are brilliant, but even by the usual rip-off standards of all watch manufacturers when it comes to selling bracelets on their own, the Rolex price is eye-wateringly expensive - you'd be talking around £1,500, which is mental.

Is it the 14060M? Thats got lug holes so you can fit a variety of bracelets . The newer glidelock i'm not so sure if it fits the lug hole case.

As much as I love my 16610 Sub, and up until last year, I wore it everyday for over 6 years, my absolute favourite Sub, is a circa 1980 5513 Maxi dial...which is the iconic no-date Sub IMHO.

I think the no date Sub gets thought of as the "base model" by people who view the brand as a status symbol

The no date Sub is a REALLY REALLY REALLY lovely thing!

That's the problem with Rolex going down the 'bling route' only rather than offering people a choice.

I'd love a 'new-old' Sub, old style narrow lug, small crown guard case, ceramic bezel, with a brushed rather than blingy polished case, with a brushed current style bracelet, current SubC maxi dot blue lume face but with a matt dial, and maybe a domed crystal even........they'd get my money in a flash.

I wish Rolex would do that!

They are about the only watch brand that aren't going down the retro vintage route. I have seen the Rado retro divers watch , it looks really nice , Oris 65 and the Blancpain fifty fathom's. We just need Rolex to go the vintage way now.

Can't get enough of my no-date, after 'compromising' from a hulk, and wear it ever day. I was worried about its durability, but Im pleasantly surprised that 40-something hours a week on lathes and it's (nearly) as good as when I bought it!

Yachtmaster everose for me next, I think, where did I put my lottery ticket...

(P.S. I do so wish Rolex would release the oysterflex bracelet.)
