Thought I'd knock together a quick topic to cover all the new announcements from Baselworld.
I won't have got everything. There's a bi-metal Black Bay and a 40mm version of the 36mm version of the Black Bay I couldn't find a picture of so please add as it comes through.

ROLEX

TUDOR have gone mad and released about 243123 new Black Bays

OMEGA

(Tag) HEUER

Useful post, thanks.

Red dial text aside, nothing Rolex has done to the new Sea-Dweller appeals to me. However, the general public, who want something inbetween (size-wise) the Sub & DSSD will like it, plus those who really expect a Rolex to have a magnifying cyclops - it'll be a welcome, slightly bigger, flashier version of the Sub for some.

I think Tudor previously hit a massive home-run with their Black Bays, but again, I don't particularly think their new collection is an improvement. The Chrono just looks a bit oddly proportioned.

That Heuer is a nice though, a rare TAG product I might actually consider buying.

Nice thread.

Loving the Autavia. I saw the Monza at last years BW (not literally) so put my name down for one immediately.

Will do the same for the Autavia smile

Seadweller: Red dial text is enough to get the enthusiasts salivating and putting the SD in between the Sub and Deepsea makes sense. I'd always thought there wasn't a clear lineage of sizes there. I'm sure it'll sell in droves.

Tudor: I think they're going a bit too far with the Black Bay thing. That chrono is so nearly nice it's frustrating - who signed off that hour hand?!

Heuer: It annoys me. As much as I want to love it, I can't. This is a company that made a Ronaldo limited edition watch.

All in all I'm not sure how I feel about all these vintage reissues. I haven't seen a single brand that hasn't done some sort of 'vintage' inspired/reissue. Who's pushing things forward?

There's a new Oris Chronoris coming out. Looks lovely. I have one of the older ones in BRM colours.
