Unless you use a winder that doesn't rotate in one plane it is going to put more wear on the watch. Many watchmakers working with premium brands advise against using watch winders because of that.

Which watchmakers / premium brands?

Do you have a link to this advice?

You made the claim, I was wondering if you could substantiate it. It would appear not.

This claim is nothing new and/or top secret. The time it took you to write above response was enough to find an answer to your previous question which tells me that you're not lazy but entitled.

Still nothing but hot air from you!

You could have been helpful but choose to be the opposite. Not for the first time.

I can't find anything on the Rolex website, for example.

My Rolex dealer recently told me to get a WW for my OP DJ from the mid 90's if I don't wear it, and also that the current models don't need one.

Why would that be? Better made now?

Oh dear, didn't I say that you're a bit entitled? Not only that, you're also a bloody stalker. An entitled militant snowflake stalker, aka perfect millennial.

Naive snowflake may I add.

Can you provide a link to where the "good ones" recommend this?

Look up watchuwant on youtube. They have a weekly watchmakers corner where their head of watchmaking Michael Michaels covers all aspects of watches including watch winding. They mention it at least once every month.

Does it include watchmakers from "premium brands" advising against their use?

So it's the opinion of one (knowledgeable) person?

Yes, longer power reserve up to 70hrs in some current models.

Have you heard of any car maker advising against long term usage of start and stop or advising you not to use your direct injected petrol engine in slow bumper to bumper traffic?

We've already established you're too entitled to do your own research. Beggars can't be choosers.

We've established nothing of the sort. What we have established is that (so far) you're unable to justify the claims you made (and in the process you're somewhat of an arse)!
