What about the magnetic fields from the human body? Speakers, tvs, cordless drills, blenders, the earth itself. Should we be concerned about them as well?
My experience suggests yes.

All my mechanical watches get magnetised, despite me being very careful about not letting them near big magnets.

We're not talking gaining minutes a day, perhaps 10-20 seconds, but when I test them they are slightly magnetised. I then degauss them with a demag tool and they run correctly again.

I haven't yet worked out exactly what's causing it, because each time I think I have, and stay away from it, the problem recurs.

My best guess is it's my phone, laptop and other devices and the magnetism occurs over a week or two in a cumulative way. I think it's minor components being affected, rather than mainsprings because some have panachrom springs.
