First of all thanks to the PH massive I bought a watch about a month ago in this thread

https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

My next target is a green watch.

Must be small 36 to 38 maybe 39mm diameter.

Probably a diver but open to offers.

Can't afford Rolex money, like quartz but could go to a Christopher Ward or Oris if right.

Like polished cases, like a watch that sits well with a rubber strap as well as a bracelet.

Over to you, many thanks.

I don’t recall what size the Oris Aquis tied into the New York harbour project is, but in the flesh it was a really nice green colour.

Dark green Tissot PRX is lovely:

Quartz:

(also references / shows the rubber strap options on that page)

And they do a Mint Green version as well in quartz:

Mondaine have just released some green-faced smaller versions of their classic 'station watch' that really look very nice:

IIRC someone in the <£200 thread picked one up (in the larger size) recently and posted some pictures smile

A little on the big side at 40mm but offers exceptional bang for you buck.

If it must be < 39mm then the C63 from Christopher Ward looks to be a good option with 36mm and 38mm options available.

Oris big crown propilot - I am pretty sure there is a ltd edition version with a green face though for me personally with my skinny 6 inch wrists I feel it wears too big (referring to the 41mm variant and not the even bigger 45mm)

Farer Mansfield. If you can find one second hand. Were a limited run and not now available from Farer.

Oris 65 is 40mm. My green dial version has the bronze bezel with black insert, but available in s/s (or all bronze, if that floats your boat).

38mm Certina. This is the older one. There is a newer 2022 release with improved ceramic bezel but I can't seem to find it.

Thank you for the suggestions.

There is a new release coming from Christopher Ward that has caught my eye which ticks my boxes. These being 38mm case, date at 6 o'clock, chamfered date window, some polishing on the case not all brushed, applied not printed logo, sunburst dial.

The plan is to let it come into stock, sign up to their emails and use a discount code when available, so probably a 4 to 6 month wait.

Hi Summit a few ideas from me…

First up

Timex Reissue
These were all the rage a couple of years ago. Thought in a Pepsi style.
38mm and looks like a diver, not sure it will behave as such.

CWC
Suppliers to the MoD, rufty, tufty and do wear at around 36-37mm

Accurist
Old British brand, this is a little formal but quite smart

Skagen
Well you wanted green!

Seiko
This probably fits the brief best. 38mm proper divers watch. SNE 583 and its Solar!

Nice review on that one here https://youtu.be/pf0qC7e3Ws4

Sorry to hijack the thread but I'm fancying something with a bit of green on too.. maybe motorsports inspired and on the brighter side of green (or with green accents). Kind of a well done to myself for buying my first 911 (which has green bits on it!).

I quite like the idea of a Tag Heuer but none of the current range is leaping out at me. I've got an old green Tag Formula 1 from when I was a kid but it looks tiny on me and the bezel is totally faded out.

Any other ideas on motorsport or dive watches with a bit of green on them? Probably 39mm upwards.

Well, motorsport-inspired suggests a chronograph, and it makes sense to get something with the Seiko mecaquartz movement. How about a Straton?

Thanks guys, some interesting ones there. I like the look of Autodromo too but not much green in their current lineup
