Doesn’t get much use this one. Lovely watch but in hindsight maybe not for me. The more I see just classic no date subs the more I think I’m sold on the idea. That said, the new monochrome Tudor BB 44 is fairly compelling.

Picked one of these up the other day. I've admired them for years and I saw this on ebay the other day when they had their 10pc off offer and thought fk it, why not. Its very chunky even if its not the xl version. I have fairly thin wrists so the 42mm size for me is nice.

It’s either this or the garmin nowadys. Sub doesn’t get worn at all weirdly.

Non-lumed-369 dial was quite a short production period, wasn't it?

I think I prefer it on the 39/40mm version!

Full metal jacket AE1200 today.

Tempted to build another with polished centre links and brushed case.

I believe so, mine was amongst the first of the 39mm and also has the shorter hands. Love its simplicity and find 39mm the ideal size, for me at least smile.

I remember trying one on and thinking that, if they couldn’t a deal, I would find a way to buy it. And then I read about the short hands and they bugged me too much. An expensive child entered our lives and that was it for several years..!

The only Rolex I really like even now.

Enjoy..!

It won't, the 1st EMP strike will see it dead. Whereas a solid gold manual wind dress watch will keep ticking.
