Many thanks but just this minute it seems I've done a deal (waiting for the discount code to arrive) that i've agreed to. Hopefully I've not messed up too much but I'm a man of my word and the guy I've been 'whatsApping' was fun to deal with and quite candid.

I'll run it passed you all for opinions later or tomorrow. At the end of the day I'm sure she'll love it or return it for exchange.

I love it personally and think Wifey would prefer the larger (unisex) size. Well over budget at an agreed £4800 but WTF you're only 50 once

Shame as I was thinking of putting the link in her birthday card and saying " Sorry Babe but your pressie hasn't been delivered yet! But hope you like it".

Could then judge her reaction then surprise her again later with the box. Yeh I know overthinking again

Nice watch that, when I got my wife's new one for our 10th anniversary last year it came with the big locking jewellery box that the specials came with in the 90s. I locked the box and set it on the chest of drawers which I knew she wouldn't notice and put the key in the card.

She looked at the key (with the coronet on it) and said what's this? I recognise it from somewhere

Can't beat a nice surprise
