My Nixon snowboarding watch got water in the altomiter/thermostat whilst I was on holiday in italy a few years back so I went to bologna town to find a new watch, this was about 3 years ago now.

the Bvulgari shop in bologna had just got these new pirelli watches, made and serviced by Bvulgari.

this is the one I got, wasnt silly money and all the watch you will ever need (and doesnt have stoopid altameter or thermostats to go wrong like the last one)

Now that is a nice looking watch, is it expensive or a £9.99 jobbie

i think it was about 700 euro, so not expensive at all (compared to branded Bvulgari watches) and it ticks the petrolhead box too

Ok, before we start I'm sorry to bring up an old watch thread.
Watches are not somthing, I'm mad about, and I'm certainly not one to go and spend a fortune on one.

Having said that, I can and do appreciate a nice watch, and if one came my way I certainly wouldn't pass the opportunity by.

So here goes.

I'm up for my 20 year service award at workyes And we get vouchers, and a catalogue to choose a gift. There really isn't anything in the catalogue that I want or need, but there is a nice selection of watches.

My vouchers aren't enough to cover the whole value, so I'll have to add a couple of hundred £'s

No problem, this is my chance to get somthing I would never go and buy under normal circumstances.

So which one? I've narrowed it down to this. Tag Aquaracer

or this Omega Seamaster

All opinions welcome. Especially from those who know what they're on abouhehehehe

Cheers

Funnily enough I'm in a situation where I have been given a bonus in points that I can redeem against vouchers. I'm looking in the £700-1000 bracket but the only place I can spend them that is any good is Earnest Jones! Out the 2 you sugguested I was also looking at an aquaracer but I'm now erring toward the Omega as a more classic watch that I would be happy to still wear in 30 years.

I've got a 'Seiko Perpetual Titanium' thingy, that cost a lot & is currently broken. Again.

I'm now wearing an Armani freebie that I was given with my last purchase of aftershave. Looks ok & works great

Awful, dreadful things. Life is too short to be controlled by time.
