This, and the fact that you would have to have made an unwise lemon of a purchase to lose any money on a decent watch, is the reason I can just about justify my little collection...

I know it may be impolite, but would yo be willing to give any details?

I am an utter novice at this, and, if I did end up getting something "nice" I'd hate to see something I prefer the week after.

Cant fault you, I can hear others say that there are other watch makers but i'm not so sure, I think Tag is the only one really.

Thats that then, I'm in agreement & i like my Tag so you should all go and get one they are the best.

Nope, keep up.

I bought in as some of you did to the whole Rolex thing, thinking they were the timepiece to be reckoned with, a real quality item to have for life. I liked them but in the real world. I'm sorry they ARE tacky.

But "tacky" is about look, annd reputation, both of which you knew before you bought it.

Your money, your choice, but it seems a bit weird to only notice after laying out the pounds.

I have worn the same TAG for 13 years and still smile every time I check it. I have only been without it for 6 days. Needless to say when the house was robbed last Jan (06) the loss of my Pocket watch collection was mourned but at least scum bag didn't get the TAG.

He also missed the spare keys (winker).

I honestly think tags just look the business, my brother is a dive instructor so has an omega, my mate drives a boxster so has a rolex, I have 3 tags and I think they look so much better.

Plus having a watch made by a company called technique avant gard makes me smile

I like Bomber am wearing a Swatch right now, but the watch I would like, and will have, is a Heuer Monaco (not Tag), however right now my cars are taking up most of my spare cash, so the Heuer will have to wait.

My Dad has one! He had always aspired to one. He got an oyster perpetual date, like James Bond's 1 in goldfinger etc.
It is the toughest watch you could imagine! It is understated, its a masterpiece of engineering. He has scraped it against walls, shut it in car doors etc all by mistake, there is still not a scratch on it after probably 15 years of having it.

Just buy a cheap gold watch from argos if you want to show off down t'pub!
