Have to have moving parts for me - to be worth it - any one can stick some 10p battery internal in and a nice case.

At the Lange & Sohne exhibition they had a 10 x enlarged model of one of their movements - seeing it at that size makes the actual size one even more impressive.
Mind you got fed up having to manually wind my Omega Geneva up every nght!

Well then, wind it in the morning like any normal person.

HTH.

Always used to get condensation in it - until I blew the glass out of it in the microwave!

Not much about Breitling here...this is mine, Seawolf, 100% titanium, just check how deep it'll go...I'd be long dead!

Which is why I don't understand some of the comments about quality watches on here!

With regards to the 10000ft Breitling - thats awesome! I remember reading about a silicon filled watch which was able to go to about 6000m as the silicon didn't compress under pressure so kept the case/crystal intact.

Edited to say it's the Bell & Ross hydromax - 6.8 miles apparently!!!

The Hyperbar - you can pick them up for circa £100.

Yup, same girl. Unfortunately the main seal is now knacked and it leaks a bit.

I know and respect each of these, and yet neither would be my first choice. Saying that, I certainly wouldn't criticise anyone for choosing them.

Well, some of us have 116520s but would rather have a 16520

I've had a couple of bizarre behaviours from mine after leaving the chronograph running too long... and I'm sure the EP movement would *not* do this...

Regardless, I'm glad I bought it when I had the opportunity, there's no way in hell I could spend that sort of money on a watch now. My latest acquisition was a Seiko Orange Monster, which albeit an incredibly **cool** watch, was also incredibly cheap. Proper in-house mechanical movement as well
