Right, just to clarify. You've bought a watch that retails for £5000 off ebay, from a bloke called Bruceybonusbeer for £400 and you reckon it's kosher?
hehe

Nowhere in his listing does it describe the watch as genuine. He does say it has a 7750 movement in it.

He's also selling Hubolt's Rolex's and Breitlings.

No nothing funny at all going on there.

but i can ask him to prove its real before i confirm my payment anyway !! although what would he actually show me ??
The paperwork for the watch, the presentation box, a stamped warranty card and if possible, a receipt of purchase.

I'd personally not bother - If you haven't paid yet, don't!

yeah, I can see your point and i'm still not convinced, but consider the evidence, the Graham watch company produce watches that depreciate in value dramatically, so if the watch is 2 years old to start it at £400 would be reasonable, plus it wont have a box or any paperwork further subtracting from its value.
I spent a long time trawling through the web looking at all the images and reading all the stuff i could find, the closet match in terms of image is the one on the Graham website,
it wont be hard to get it authenticated and return it if it is a fake, but for now I'm hoping to ride my luck !!

Mate you only have to look at his listing to know that's a fake..

"Many others available, Rolex Breitling etc"

I don't care how unpopular the Graham brand is.... No one sells a £5k watch for £400 quid
unless it was stolen

After 10 seconds of research I noticed your £400 ebay bargain watch is described IN THE ITEM DESCRIPTION as having a 7750 movement in it. He doesn't even describe the watch as being genuine.

The Graham website you link to describes the real watch as MOVEMENT: Automatic bi-compax chronograph G 1734. Date.42 hour power reserve.

Here's the page from the site you linked to describing the real £5,500 Graham . Read the bits about the movement carefully.

http://www.graham-london.com/collection/chronofigh...

Now take a deep breath. . .

Here is a link to a shop that sells your 'Asian 7750' movement replica watch. Read the bits about the movement carefully.

http://www.top50watches.com/graham-chronofighter-o...

$399 USD.

That's £257

1. Your watch doesn't have the same movement as a genuine one.
2. Your watch has the same movement as the replica site watch.
3. Your watch movement isn't even a genuine $50 ETA 7750 movement but an Asian 7750 movement.
4. You will not be able to return the watch as the seller doesn't describe it as genuine.
5. You will not be able to sell it for an IWC Portofino as they cost around £2,500 second hand and yours new costs £257
6. FFS

To be fair though the Graham Automatic bi-compax chronograph G 1734. Date.42 hour power reserve movement is in fact a 7750 ...

Strange indeed.
Strange but cool!

The Graham is nasty though! Like someone else said, they should have taken the Kobold route...

Not hard at all. I've done it before. Just don't pay. When they guy complains, you get a chance to respond. Let him know that you'll let him cancel the transaction without any harm or if he wants to make a big issue of it, you'll post negative feedback on him and pursue it with Ebay.

Then, if he gives you problems, give him negative feedback and be clear in your comment that it's a fake and then Let ebay know it's a fake and that you're not paying. That'll be the end of it. Nobody is going to make you pay and it would even be only one strike against you on the odd chance that ebay rules against you and says you're in the wrong (which won't happen).

He's re-listed it already & I have reported it as a fake.

If a few more people do so we can perhaps get this tosser off ebay for a while at least.

Although it seems odd, ebay has some funny rules about listings being OK as long as they're not actually described as being genuine. Often it's the watch companies themselves that are removing these sellers by taking legal action against them.

Have a look at the pictures of Brucybonusbeer's Big Bang for sale. To be honest if anybody buys either of them it really is there own fault.
