i do like it, its very much my style, also seems that it would be a good start point for my collection, more of a keeper than a money maker, anyways better than the Graham i bought last week !!

That's a very good price,I can't make out the serial number proper on my laptop but it looks like 200+ something which I'm guessing would make it not much more that a year old,so may have some warranty left.
I'm guessing that there wasn't many more than around 300 made so quite rare.
I have a DA37,No64 and don't believe that 100 were made.

Very solid watches, built like a tank. The only issue appears that Damasko can be a little slow if it does need to go back to Germany but apparently they've taken on more staff and are currently working on their own in-house movements.

God knows.

Apparently they couldn't source movements from ETA and have had no other choice.
I suspect that given they have limited distribution the initial batches will be sold at minimal profit margins in order to build on their burgeoning reputation.

see forum page Review of Graham watches !! its supposed to be an oversize chronofighter diver, you'll laugh your pants off !!
thought i'd made a steal on ebay !! as fakes go though its a F****n good one
none of the others had a date at the 7 window, even the ones on the jura webiste dont have the date at 7 !!

i think the Damasko is more for me, better to build up my collection over time, my Tag Classic 2000 is doing the job for now

I think Timefactors last had the 36 in stock around October and a couple of 37s up until December so should have plenty of warranty left.
I'm a little confused as to why the seller doesn't offer it up on TZ-UK as it would sell easily for £600+ but then perhaps he's unable to register.

The DA36 is a lovely watch - I have mine on my wrist as I type this. It's been worn daily since I bought it (second hand) and it's still pristine.

Mine was a bit cheaper than the one you're looking at, but had had the outer AR coating removed, which devalued it a little. It depends what it's worth to you.

As an aside, I tried a few pilot IWCs on when I was recently on holiday, and was actually a little disappointed - the case design of the Damasko is so much more attractive, to my eyes. I was planning an an IWC next but don't think I'll bother now.

ETA: just noticed it's been sold - shame. frown

If you like it.

In a similar vein as the Damasko, how about:

A Glycine Incusore?

Or a Sinn 656S?

Not one of their better looking offerings IMHO
This is a better Fortis http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1514523.htm especially if you can negotiate the price downwards a little.

This however is a bargain if kosher (looks it,to me)http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1521142.htm Might require a service at some point.

You'd have no problem moving either of these on again, most probably for the price you pay.
Best regards

I get the impression you are in a bit of a buying frenzy, and desperate to buy just to buy. If you are mainly interested in the process of buying and selling, which some are, then that is fine, but if you are looking to buy a watch you actually want I can't imagine it will end well.

If you are looking to build a collection then I would first think about what you like and what sort of watches you want in your collection, then I would set out to find the watches that you really want.

We all buy things we don't really want, or find once we've bought them that we don't want them, but for me I have narrowed down what I'm looking for to just a few pieces (which I mainly can't afford) and I'm enjoying the looking and not buying. Although I've tried a couple of times I haven't actually bought for ages.

Love the IWC aquatimer with crowns at 2 and 4.

I'd already be looking to acquire one but I have the feeling they will wear too large on my skinny wrists. I very reluctantly decided not to buy the Doppelchronograph (which I desperately wanted for its complication) because at 42mm and thick with it, it looked ridiculous on my wrist frown

I've moaned before about watch manufactures following the fashion to be bigger and more conspicuous, both are characteristics that I despise in a watch. Will have to try the Aquatimer to see how large it actually feels - some 42mm watches are OK, whereas some appear huge frown
Well I ended up buying said Aquatimer smile And it didn't wear too big, despite my concerns.

However even though it's a cool watch, I've made a decision to rationalise my collection and I've too many dive watches...

It's for sale if anyone's interested.

Funnily enough, whilst the crowns at 2 and 4 were the cool design feature that drew my attention originally, I'm finding that I prefer my Sinn...

I'd really like one of those EZM Sinns on a steel bracelet with the four hands and *central* chrono function... I've got chronos with subdials and they're fussy, whereas that EZM watch pictured above (crowns on left side too) looks hard as nails smile

I'm in complete agreement with what you say tertius, I have some cash (about £700) and do want to start my collection a.s.a.p.
I really was just going to take a punt on a watch and see if i could turn it fora profit, I suspect now this would have been a foolhardy thing to do.

Since coming across the Damasko Da36 yesterday, ive decided that the stlye of watch for me to open my account with !!

Making profit from watches unless you're in the industry would be largely down to luck.
