A little help please!

I have been on the look out for one of these for quite a while but wouldn't mind an honest opinion about what you think of this - the world's most accurate watch....ever.....

Bit chunky but there's no mistaking it!

There is one for sale here.... http://www.watches.co.uk/watch.php?wid=6408S

Price seems a little on the high side though?

They have become VERY collectible.

I have had one and a couple of proplofs through my hands at money that would make you weep now, but they weren't valued remtely the same even 7-8 years ago.

There are a couple of very similar looking models that can be picked up for a few hundred or so. Might be worth a punt for the future?

Thanks. The similar models don't have the same high accuracy movement..it's the MC I'm focusing on.
Just would prefer one with box / papers but may wait a while to find one.

Still can't believe no-one has made a more accurate watch movement since 1974??

I thought I saw this at one end of Burlington Arcade a few weeks ago, along with a window-load of very unusal Omegas?

Personally I really appreciate them for what they are but I'd never want one, as they are, frankly, ugly as an ugly thing ...

Well I finally got one.........dead and mucked about with but all original bits, papers, timing cert, box, warranty.

Just got it back from the restorers (STS) who are world experts on these and they've done a fantastic job. She now ticks proudly again.

Pics to follow......when I get the Leica out at the weekend.
