last night I had my watch stolen by some in C London. Its basically worth nothing so I have no idea why they did it. I chased after them but they were gone across some traffic and down a side street. I've had it 12 years and its just sentimental. I'd have preferred my phone / wallet etc to have been nicked.

So long story short I want to get the same watch.. a photo is here but I haven't ever seen one apart from mine .

Anyone know where I can buy one like this? I'll try ebay of course, and I have rung accurist to see if they have the model number so I can use that for searches. I'd got it reconditioned by them a couple of years ago so it was mint.

So annoying, police just gave me a crime ref. Thats it basically no chance of getting it back at all

Can't help but just wanted to say I'm really sorry to hear that. How did it happen?

If you live in the area then it's worthwhile wandering round any of the pawn shops and cash generator type places to see if it pops up.

Sad news, irrespective of monetary value it's not nice when something of sentimental value gets pinched by some bottom feeding scum.

Mate thats an awesome idea. Must try to look around the area.

Seb, I was leaving Loop bar in C London at about 2am and some guy asked me the time and then grabbed my arm and wrestled it off my wrist. I'm a bit less angry now so I am just thankful that I didn't get knifed etc for it I guess. My housemate said he must just do it 10x a night and someone is gonna be wearing a sppedmaster etc.

There are alot of places around Loop Bar I guess, might have had a chance of finding the watch in Bracknell or somewhere, dud prob selling it today somewhere. frown

Ah, the joys of Central London. I live about 10 mins from there and feel decidedly more paranoid now about going out with any of my nice watches on than I normally do. The important thing is that you're not hurt and that it wasn't something like an LV Sub which would cost you £3k to replace. Don't want to sound horrible, but if it had sentimental value AND was extremely expensive then it would be doubly unpleasant. Good luck with finding it, you never know, you might get lucky.

I had exactly the same thing happen to me in Covent Garden a year ago to the day. Some scum grabbed my arm and managed to steal my Speedmaster without me knowing! God knows how they did it?!

Luckily the insurance company were great and paid up the full amount with no reciept from me, just a letter from the jewellers that i bought it from.
The people that do this should be shot, end of.

BMT.

Hi Alan

Sorry about your loss, but I can help!!!

The watch is an ACCURIST SPORT CHRONOGRAPH model number OT10

I got it on Friday down London......(sorry boxedin)

Saw the picture and couldn't believe it. It was my first "real" watch.
I bought it in 1995 and still have it!

Hope that helps!

In case it helps, 'OT10' is the calibre number. The exact model number for your watch appears to be 'MB119'. Sadly, putting this into Google throws up very little as well. But at least you have two terms to search the likes of eBay with now.

long shot -- i know the lads @ C.S. Bedford Jewelers in Ruislip, who have gotten me a number of unique watches over the years. You might give them a call and put them on a search for you -- the twins (Rob & his brother) are very well connected to get some quite rare watches and are known as a very good pair of aficionados. i have given them custom over the years for lots of stuff and am just a satisfied customer, who would recommend them w/o question to help find a replacement if it can be found!

Another longshot try... LoftyLad or anyone how knows how to contact them, I really would like to see if I could buy that watch from you!

Edit: I changed my name on here when I got an M3. Just to clarify
