Missed out on the CF Dunhill frown
Lady on the phone couldn't understand me when I asked if they had any other pens in stock either!

Keen to hear of any other deals people spot, as I'm looking for an addition to my Dupont biggrin

Unlucky on the Dunhill mate. It is a stunning pen...
If I do find any more up for sale, i will update this thread.

I have just taken delivery of a Leather case for my new CF Dunhill pens today.

It was from their Bicester store. Ordered over phone yesterday. Delivered today. Carbon look on the leather. It is from their 'Chassis' range.

Pics:

The pens fit perfectly in the case. Nice, snug fit.

There is a divider inside the case, to prevent the two pens meeting each other and scratching.

Original price £110. Outlet price £70 + £10 delivery.

A £2 pencil case from WH Smith would have achieved the desired outcome, but I thought I'd give these pens a matching case to go with their carbon look!

They are keepers.

Thanks for the heads up, bought a CF Sentryman from the Bicester store.

Did yours come with the decorative AD logo on the cap or just a 'd' and is there a difference between these two models?

Mine arrived from the Bicester store yesterday, and it has the 'd' design on the cap rather than the decorative logo. I read somewhere that the AD logo is the latest design, but both designs are on pens on the Dunhill website so it can't have been updated that long ago.

My Fountain Pen has the 'd' logo on the cap, whereas my Rollerball Sentryman has the 'AD' logo.

I have enquired from their service department in Central London how much it would cost to get the logo updated to the new style for the FP, and the cost is £15 + £7.50 for return postage, with a 2 week turnaround.

Not extortionate.

I'm in two minds about getting it done at the moment. On one hand, I can easily spot the difference between the two pens without opening them. On the other, I prefer the newer 'AD' logo hands down!

I'll see if I get used to the 'd' logo. If I cannot live with it, I'll get it changed out.

Mine came with the 'AD' logo, so it seems The store received a mixed batch of pens.

I agree that the finish is very nice on these.

I have just dropped off my Sentryman Fountain pen at Dunhill in London to have the 'd' logo on the cap replaced to the newer 'AD' style logo. Cost is £15. Will post up pics once I get it back.

It'll match up properly with my CF Rollerball Sentryman.

Picked up my FP from Dunhill in London on Friday, having had the logo on the cap replaced to the 'AD' style one.

They initially quoted 2 weeks for the turnaround. I asked if it could be done within a week, as I would be in London on the 14th. The guy said he would try, but could not guarantee it.

Got a call from them on the 13th advising me that the pen was ready to collect. Quick turnaround, and great service.

Was offered a complimentary drink at the bar whilst I waited for the pen to arrive from wherever it was being stored. Pen turns up, handed over by the service manager and he went over a few pointers on re-filling ink & long term storage etc. Nothing rushed about their delivery. Also was given a free soft case for the pen. Top service.

Pics of the modification:

Matches up with my Rollerball perfectly now! They make a good set.

Now...
Onto the next toy...

I had a waterman for my 21st 11 years ago, and have been enjoying everyday at work lately. Since then I have had an eye open at the local boot sales for more. Picked up a few more waterman BP and fountain, a lovely 70's Shaeffer set, and these today.

Princely sum of £2! Rotring 600, pencil and pen with indicator ends, just need a cartridge for the pen.

Holy Thread Resurrection!! Etc etc

Had a call from the Dunhill store, offering me a Ballpoint Sentryman at a discounted price…
The model of pen has been discontinued, hence the reduced price.

Link to some pictures of the pen in question

It is brand new, unused. With box/papers/2 year warranty etc etc.

Original price was £425
Being offered it at £280

I have the carbon fibre versions in Fountain and Rollerball of the Dunhill Sentryman. This will be an addition. Liking the style of this one…

Worth getting? Or leave?

The ballpoint Sentryman is very nice. I have the rollerball version of this. The ballpoints do feel very solid due to the extra weight which i prefer over the rollerball

Go for it!

It has been a busy few weeks with work/home.
Didn't have the time to get to buying the pen.

I called them up at Bicester and duly paid for it yesterday.

They have a weird dispatch system, with mail out/in only happening on Mondays + Wednesdays by 10am.

It will be sent out on Monday. Should arrive on Tuesday.

Looking forward to receiving it now... Will post up pictures of it when it arrives.

They have a few more in stock over there. It is a discontinued model and they won't be getting any more in.
Just a heads up if anyone fancies buying one...

Update.

Just had my new Dunhill delivered.

First impressions are great. Really liking the quality, finish and feel of the pen. Fantastic weight to it as well.

Liking the flow when writing with the pen.
Feels very easy to write for long periods of time with it.

Anyway, enough of me. Here are some crappy phone pictures:

With my Carbon Sentrymans:

They still have a few in stock, if anyone wants to grab one.
Price was £280 + £10 delivery.

Think I have enough fancy pens...for now!
