You git - I've just spent 10 minutes reading through 20 pages of divers watches and they don#t even sell Seiko. What's worse I'm now struggling not to buy a watch (It's currently sat in basket) I've found on their that I think I prefer to the one I've just bought.

I think I'll stop perusing this thread.

They're interesting, aren't they? I've had a few models now.

They are - some very wacky looking watches. I could spend a fortune on some of the non rolex divers. How do they get away with copying Rolex though?

Everyone copies that design, now! Question is, was Rolex the originator of the Submariner design? Isn't the Mercedes hand just a modernisation of the cathedral hand? Didn't Blancpain create the first rotating bezel diver watch?

I have no idea what you just said, but it sounded very knowledgeable. Now about the difference in the two watches I posted up earlier. rofl

hehe

Read the descriptions carefully - I thought I was staring at two pretty much identical watches then realised one was quartz and the other automatic. The existence and location of the date window might differ slightly, as might the style of the hands. I notice some of the Rolex lookalikes have triangular hands.

ShadowNin: I think you're getting confusticated between watches.

He and I are on about the differences between the "regular" BFK Seiko and the much more expensive Prospex version. Not the Tauchmeisters. wink

And for the record, Tauchmeister can be sourced MUCH cheaper on eBay then WFW. whistle

Can't go wrong with an Omega SMP. Mine is currently losing about two seconds a day, which I can live with. biggrin

I love the Emas though. For £150 it's a bargain!
