It's like the watch version of those see-through wheels.

Is it just me or are there more and more Bond NATO straps around? I've been wearing my speedie pro on one for the last few weeks, although I've just switched to a black one for that more authentic "around the space suit arm" look. No pictures yet, must get camera out.

Really need to scratch the Sinn itch in 2009....

An excellent ABC watch for MTB and running. The storm alarm is also a great feature. I wear it most days now.

I don't know why others wear them but I wear a black one to replace my black velcro sports strap that was starting to fray. I prefer them because unlike normal straps where the weakness lies in just one pin, this style means that if one pin goes, you don't lose a watch because the other pin holds the watch in place. I think this was the original intention of the design. And yes, I do participate in activities that can damage a watch. Assassination is a dangerous game, dontcha know.

As for the Bond colours, that's probably because they like 007.

You don't like them?

I have them just for variety, I frequently swap bracelets and NATO or leather around on watches when I can. That's what I love about dive watches with their bracelets and rubber or NATO/leather strap options.
