My Riseman landed today. Quite a big beast; looks suitably chunky but feels pretty light (lighter than any of the metal or braceletted Gs and feels like it's lower quality compared to my all-metal cockpit diver and subsequently feels like it shouldn't be treated roughly even if it's designed to be!). Strap feels a bit flimsy - thinner than the rubber diver straps I'm used to. Says it's 27.5C ie thermometer is pointless as I'm on the verge of shivering. Can't be bothered with the altimeter function as I would have to configure it. Still, I only bought it for the ruggedness and the barometer so if that works, then great. (Barometer graph says pressure is falling in last 8 hours ie rain incoming; Metcheck confirms.)

One of the watch forums. Black. If you want new, they're going for around £130-140 on various websites...

Suddenly, I'm not so keen on Gs...

Gs are supposed to be manly and rugged. Not pretty boy and diamond-encrusted.

This arrived the other day, as modelled by my spaniel

I wanted a G that was as 'normal' looking and small as possible, plus I prefer analogue. I love it!

Yup - like that one, haven't looked too much at the G's but I like the simple dial. Cool.

I've never seen a 'paw shot' before.

If you can get him to tell the time and bark it out, that'll be impressive.

One fully digi memory bank one from ages ago - lasted without fault for 11 years!

It's a GT006 "G Cool" but can't find any pics!

Next will be a GS1100 Giez atomic solar one - hopefully for Christmas.

OK, so the last one isn't strictly a G-Shock, but it's pretty cool anyway.

Never mind, found it here (not on the casio site tough), and pretty cheap at 140€!
Tough I love that design, if I buy a g-shock, it would have to have at least one digital readout (chrono, timer,...)

Well, aren't two of them for sale elsewhere? So you post them up, people compliment... "Well, it so happens that I was selling them..." biggrin

Ah, I see. Possibly paperbag

What I actually thought was as I had the camera out to take pics of the ones for sale, I might as well take some of the others. I particularly like the yellow one - wore it to a gig on Saturday night, I had random people coming up to me asking where I got it. The light is brilliant - unfortunately it doesn't come out that well in pics.

I believe it's a re-issue of a range they did in the 80s, to celebrate 25 years of G-Shock? The LCD screen is certainly very 80s - not very visible in daylight unless you look at it straight on.
