Damn this thread!
Was looking for a new watch for Le Mans as man maths said get another instead of fixing the strap on my Mudman.

Ended up ordering one of these:

A Pro Trek PRW-5000T-7ER

Let us know what you think of it. I fancy this or one of its variants, too.

I like the look of some of these proteks but the way I buy watches it's a road I best avoid.

My storm trooper arrived. I wore it yesterday for the day and wasn't remotely interested in it. Zero bonding. I feel it won't last long at all.

They seem cheap and nasty.

Also the insides seem turned slightly. I'm not sure whether it's how it is supposed to be or not!

Anyone got a dead square on pic of their watch please?

Get a cheap one from ebay. It won't cost much... maybe £40 so probably cheaper than your cheapest G-shock. You can always flip it if you don't like it.

Or buy another that ticks the boxes that the first one didn't then decide what else needs ticking with your new one. evil

Couldn't buy a cheap one. I'd need one with all the toys. Sorely tempted but will stick to G's for now.

I bought a full-on ABC ProTrek for about £50. They're out there if you look hard enough. evil

Arrived yesterday and is very nice. Have a meaty wrist (insert your own joke) so it doesn't look to big but it is a hefty watch.

Bracelet is very nice in the metal and feelsvery secure. Some reviewers didn't like the light as it illuminates the hands as opposed to the digital bit, but I think it looks really goood.

Very happy. Like it more than my old Mudman at the minute.
