It actually looked orange on the website, but if I'm honest i quite the red!

When you start looking into the choice of g shocks available I feel like a kid in a sweet shop!

What next?!! smile

I actually thought I'd be out bid by yourself, but I won it for £30. It had a stupid finishing time 4:30am (just when I was starting work grumpy )

It's a DWM-100 W.C.C.S. 89 vintage.

I just hope it's genuine.

GG - could you post a picture up of the back of your orange 6900 when you get the time.

Mine arrived this morning, all looks as described, brand new in the tin with all the tag, bag and documentation so i have no reason to think it's dodgy, it looks 100% genuine and hasn't been worn or tampered with.
Its just that it's got a different metal back on than my blue one, i'm not sure if that's just down to a different country of manufacture, my blue one is Thialand made and the orange one is China made. They are different modules too but i believe that is correct anyway.

My sensors are on hightened alert over it as i had an email from eBay last night saying the seller had broken eBay rules, no idea what, and all the auction details have been removed by eBay.

Post some detailed photos of your watch here. There is a few of us who know a little bit about G-shocks here who might be able to help.

Cheers, i normally know what i'm looking at as i have approx 40 G's myself,

Here are the photo's :-

The only thing i'm not sure about is the backplate, the 'made in china' matches up to where the instruction booklet was printed.
I know they do make G shocks in China but i don't think i own one to compare, the only picture i've found on google is of a Thailand made watch which has the same backplate as my blue one.

To test whether your g shock is genuine couldn't you just pop upstairs and chuck it out of the window?!

I have 6900's with the same back as yours.

Orange ones back light should be bright yellow.

The back light is bright yellow. I'm sure it's fine, I don't know if the different backplate is unique to China made ones. This one is from the German market, as you know, so maybe not the same as what you got in this country or direct from Japan.
My 6600 has the same style backplate.

Help!

Have just bought one of these - and it is lovely - but I cannot change it from am/pm to 2400 hour display! Anyone here knows how? I've looked through the manual, but cannot find anything frown

Is this thread now just the same watches over and over again in a different colour?...
