Well, thanks solely to this thread, I now own a G-Shock... smash

I'm an electrical engineer so generally go for nylon or plastic watch straps whilst at work to avoid shorting stuff out with a metal strap... Been happily rotating between a Timex Weekender and a classic Casio F-91W for a while now. I also own a limited edition TW Steel and an Omega De Ville which do for more formal duties...

So here is my new GA-100C-1A3ER probably just for work and day to day use. Sub £100, looks good and feels very robust even though it's light on the wrist. I'm pretty happy with it.

I used to think G Shock were plasticy, tacky toy watches until i found this thread... now i've got about 5 more on my list! I can see it getting expensive.
God I like that.

May I ask where you bought it and what functions it has?

Also how are you getting on with it after a few weeks. Too big?

I know I could read up on the GA-100C-1A3ER over the web, but why not ask an owner eh?

Can't believe I'm planning adultery on my lovely Milgauss, but if you buy an expensive Monet/Picasso/etc you're still going to go to a gallery aren't you? smile

Just bought this for work. I have a couple of Breitlings but despite being 'aviators' watches, they are difficult to use airborne and this hits the spot. Lightweight, seems rugged and the display is clear and the controls are intuitive. All in all, a result for £60.

I have that one, paid a little more than you did, but Solar + AT makes it excellent value ...

I had a look round the GShock shop in Odaiba (Tokyo) yesterday, they still had a couple of the 30th anniversary watches, but they were ¥¥¥¥¥¥.

I also noticed they had Mini GShocks, which look a bit more masculine than the BabyGs, which could be of interest to those looking for watches for sons etc.

This one arrived today, Casio UK have some more stock in so purchased from them for RRP rather than the inflated Ebay prices.

Did they have those Collectower things for storing watches? I'm desperately trying to find some but seem to be non existent in Europe. I might try emailing them to see if they'd post me some smile

I didn't notice to be honest, this is the first I've heard of them, so wouldn't have registered them. Sorry.

No problem, just thought I'd ask. Here's a pic, so you don't think I'm nuts hehe

Sadly not available in Europe which is shame as I think they are quite a good solution!

Yup, courtesy of that post I bought that watch (import) and after two weeks I report the love is still strong. It displaces a watch worth 70x as much at the weekends

My first ever G-Shock. Solar powered and Multi Band 6 radio controlled. Picked up in Bangkok for £90 and I'm well chuffed with it so far.

PK, could you post a wrist shot of you wearing both a 6900 and an oversize version, for size comparison?
