Personally, apart from the expensive gravity defier models, I prefer G's to be digital and not have hands.

If you can look past not having hands then a king GX-56 would be the model for you, I reckon.

Owning a gravity defier myself, I agree with that.

I've got over 100 G's and the GX-56's are amongst my favourites.

Ive got the orange one and the stealth all black one.

They are whoppers and as hard as nails.

With all this talk of gravity defiers I have a gw3500 on its way from creation. Can't really argue with the price. http://www.creationwatches.com/products/casio-g-sh...

Aye, cracking watch but as much as I love G's, I couldn't bring myself to pay over 500 quid for one.

I'm only looking at holiday/gym watch I still want it to be a decent Gshock but I can’t justify £500 just yet on a watch after picking up my Omega two months ago.

Price range? Style? Colour? Bit more info and I'm sure we can help.

well I don't really want to spend any more than £150 lower if possible, I want one with the tilt auto light and I want the light to be nice and bright with an easy to read face, I wouldn’t mind having a compass feature and it must have scratch resistant glass and world time, I'm quite open with colours but nothing to in your face.

I'm wearing something right now that may fit the bill. It's not a G-SHOCK though...

Crap iPhone pic.

Protrek PRG-240. Everything you specified and the clearest face and brightest light you'd ever wish for. Proper chunky blokey watch look too. Mines been great.

Most G's with compasses are over £150.
