Quick question for those who know a lot more than me about watches!

Is the GA-2000 a current model, and if so can anyone give me a quick run down on what all the various options are?

I have no clue about watches, all I know is my Dad has been looking at G-Shock, its his birthday soon and I overheard him say he was looking for a GA-2000 when we were in a shop the other day.

He's elderly but sea swims almost every day etc

He recently bought one on a cruise but had to return it as they couldnt find the correct instruction book for it so not so sure anything too technical is ideal.

Any ideas?

GA 2000 is a current model which has a part carbon case. Casio’’s website will describe it better than I can!

Cheers. Had a look and decided on the one then get an email. Apparently he actually wants one for swimming and diving so is being very specific...

GA-B2100C-9AER

He's specified the "US Model", not sure if there is one or if they are all the same?

I don’t think that’s ugly. Just ordered one to have a look

These are my two, both bought in sales over the last few months. The orange one was £80 and the Gold one was half price at £250.

I quite fancy the full metal silver octagon next, but will wait for a sale first. I'll probably pick up some other brightly coloured ones as well, just for fun.

If you ever think of selling the gold one I would be very interested.

I have just emailed you with the link to where I bought it, they are still showing it available at £250 and when they sold out of the silver one, it disappeared from their site.

They said they had 2 when I ordered, so I imagine they only have 1 left at that price.

I am loving it, I normally wear a Rolex Explorer as my daily and that has sat idle since I started wearing this last Thursday.

Good luck

I have the gold metal 5600 as well. It's easily my favourite watch - almost at any money. Almost!
