I've got a lot of Gs now, but not a plain classic 5600 shape one, so I've been a hankering to get one. I got some Argos vouchers through a reward scheme at work so took the plunge with one of these:

https://g-shock.co.uk/gw-m5610u-1er?gad_source=1&a...

A few months back Argos had it for £80, but even at £100 i think its decent value. I absolutely love it, a bit smaller the many of others I have and feels light on the wrist. All the good useful features like Mulitband 6 and solar with none of the superfluous stuff like tide charts and altitude. Good size digits and No reverse display which my aging eyes have come to hate. I think it's just about perfect.

I used to have a few myself but they all went on eBay shortly after buying one of these. Hard to fault it for the money.

You can’t beat a 5600.

Does everything you want from a watch in a timeless rugged design.

Especially the all metal 5600s.

Just brilliant watches. Fair premium over the standard versions, but very worth it, imo.

I've always struggle to see a place for them. They're a great watch but I don't necessarily find them good looking, so don't feel the metal adds a lot. I imagine the resin holds up better to knocks and scapes too.

If I want to wear a nice watch, I'll pick an analgue over a digital.

A bit of a conundrum for me that one.

Each to their own dude smile

I can totally see where you're coming from, however.

I'm fully intending on wearing my gold metal 5600 with my kilt in a couple of months time biggrin

Decided I have too many things - so with that in mind I am going to cull my 30+ G's right down (along with my MoonSwatch and Blancpain x Swatch too)

I was thinking about listing on Vinted, but wasn't sure if there might be a better place?? Any ideas welcome!!

Would be boring if we all bought the same watch thumbup

I do want a metal one of the newer octagon shapes.

When I sold half a dozen or so last year on eBay I was getting 75% ish of what I paid. Including postage, one buyer might as well have bought a new one.. That was with a 99p aution. Surprised me.

I find G Shocks and Swatches sell well on eBay. I’ve sold both for more than I’ve paid for them.

Yep I did that and after a couple of days switched it back to MM/DD again biggrin

After 30+ years of wearing G shocks I just 'expect' the date on them to be in the US format...

Have had the Big G out today. First time in a while. It feels a bit ridiculous at my age tbh, but still up there as one of my favs
