That wasn't the only one.

The "Watch-Cellar" had one too.

It appears to be heading for my wrist as we speak. biggrin

I know, I know, I have an almost laughable lack of self-control! hehe

Very impulse, but it looks quite good.
Hopefully not too big for me though!!

Mine too! Just now, very, very pleased with it!

It's been a good few watch days, my Speedmaster arrived two says ago (first day of wearing was yesterday after the bracelet was adjusted!) and now the Seiko.

Pics to follow! smile

No, the grey one is quite nice actually. It's more subtle than that.

That's it. One of the 5s appears to have fallen out. I couldn't find it anywhere in the box!

The watches from justseiko are sold as brand new and as such come with all the plastic in place, tags etc. In both cases, this aint good enough. Will be interested to see what they (she) says about this. Myself and cyberface got unmarked examples - so thats a bit of a pity these 2 have issues.

Mine came from ebay seller "the watch-cellar".

Next day delivery, pristine brand new and unmarked and cheaper than Justseiko too. smile

Highly recommended.

I know it's the name of the range and I think they all use a specific movement, but I'd far prefer these watches if they didnt say 'Sports 5' on the face. It just seems a little tacky, especially when a lot of the watches are particularly sporty..

NB. I'm a big Seiko fan and my only working quality watch at the moment is a Monster..

I keep wondering where justseiko and watchcellar are obtaining their stock from. The prices in Japan (rakuten) once converted have no margin - not to mention shipping and DUTY/VAT.

http://search.borderless.rakuten.com/borderless/se...

I guess they run the margins quite tight - just doesn't add up to me.

Mine came from Best of Items.

Perfect condition, although there were no documents in the box (even though the watch was new).
I've emailed and asked, but to be honest I'm not too bothered.

I got a return accepted, and £10 PayPal refund towards the cost of postage. Looks ok so far...

Yes, it is a shame... mine is perfect and these issues had me going over the watch to see whether mine was faulty in any way!

As pointed out, there's no margin on these watches, and as long as they're genuine Japan items and not counterfeits (and the counterfeiters have got so good at Rolex copies that I'm sure they can knock out Seiko copies easily enough) then there is always the question as to whether the watches are second-quality or rejects... I can't see anything wrong with mine, and I also have a Seiko guarantee booklet, and correctly stamped certificate card of guarantee to which I've added the watch serial number etc.

So as far as I'm concerned, it's kosher. But as I've learnt from the world of fake Rolexes... nothing is as it seems!

Away from the FUD though, I also prefer it to my Orange Monster. The only thing I think is inferior on the 5 compared to the Monster is the bracelet link system - just pressed split pins (crap). The Monster system isn't miles better with the fiddly collars but at least it's more secure. Screws would be better... and when counterfeiters can knock out credible Rolex Subs for $100 (the watch is easily identifiable as fake, but the Oyster bracelet with screwed links is damn-near perfect) then surely it's not *that* expensive to make a bracelet with screwed links? Or do some people think screwed links are *less* optimal because they can come undone?

Mine doesn't have that.

In all honesty, not too bothered. I've emailed to ask, but if it comes to nothing, I'll live! smile
