Just came back from the jewellers after fitting a new watch strap...and he had a Solar Impulse (rubber strap) in there. While I was waiting I tried it one and...oh boy...that was it...haven't been able to think of much else since. Five minutes talking had a cool one thousand pounds off the price. Told the wife and she just rolled her eyes. I only bought another watch last month....

I give it an 9.

That is how a modern speedie should look imo. Elegant but rugged. Lovely.

I wore one when I was at Harrods a few months back, think I posted about it in a thread about titanium watches or watches with the date at funny locations on the face. This onead the titanium strap, as in the above picture.

It looked absolutely gorgeous and despite having a larger case than regular speedies, the titanium case and strap meant it was significantly lighter (almost too light). That titanium colour and the slight curvature to the strap that differs from normal models adds to the special appeal for me.

I think it'll be a worthy successor to my current Speedy Racing, as it also has a carbon face so carries on the 'modern speedmaster' theme in a way.

so yes, 10/10 for me.
