Just looking at youtube at some videos on everose (love the daytona 116505), is it that different to rose gold? or is it just a way for rolex to brand there watches like the daytona 116505?

Actually no , Rolex use a specific combination of metals to achieve the ` Everose ` colour, its not a simple rose Gold! They add for one thing Platinum which apparently helps the metal from fading!!
Rose gold is a mixture of pure Gold, Copper and Silver normally . Depending upon the percentage of copper used the rose colour can be deepened or lightened .
Rolex use a specific combination of metals in their entire range to achieve a recogniseable colour in all their watches containing Gold .

Yes, it's rose gold and has copper (and apparently platinum) in it. Could have unicorn sperm in it, it's still rose gold.

Its an interesting topic , actually when does Gold become pink, rose or red gold? Bearing in mind MOst Gold Alloy has Copper in it. In reality there isnt such a thing as a Rose gold, its just coloured Gold Alloy and the colours can vary enormously by the percentages of different metals used .
But most Gold alloys do not use Platunum becuause of the cost mainly , so I think Rolex`s product ` Everose ` is an apt name for their own product. So is it Rose Gold? Id say definately No!

I'm no metallurgist, but rose gold is an alloy which always has copper (for the colour) and gold in it, as well (sometimes) other stuff like silver and, in the case of Everose, platinum.

I'd say it was still rose gold as opposed to something new and novel.

Making colours from pure gold is the same as mixing paints at school, Gold and Copper are the only 2 coloured metals from what I seem to remember and the addition of red to yellow makes a pink colour so adding Silver or Zinc makes the Gold paler . All Gold Alloy has Silver in it , and I believe the Dental profession use a gold Platinum Alloy for filings .MOst people will call the Everose gold- Rose Gold anyway, but in reality it`s incorrect!
